Disol - Jurabek

Active substance:
Sodium acetate + sodium chloride
Composition: sodium acetate: 2 g,
sodium chloride: 6,0 g, water for injections: - to 1 l
Pharmacotherapeutic group:
Saline solutions
Pharmacological properties
Produces hemodynamic, disintoxication effect: (promotes restoration of water-electrolytic balance, prevents hemoconcentration and development of metabolic acidosis, improves the capillary blood circulation, strengthens diuresis).
Indications to use
Dehydration of various genesis (El Tor cholera (Inaba), acute dysentery, food toxicoinfection and others disease), hyperpotassemia
Administrations and dosage
Prior to administration, a solution is preheated to 36 - 38°C. The drug is administered intravenously (streamwise or dropwise) in amounts needed for adjustment of a liquidvolume, lost with excrements, vomit, urine and sweat. In severe forms of a disease (hypovolemic infectious-toxic shock, inadequate capillary perfusion, decompensated metabolic acidosis, anuria), they start with streamwise administration for 1-2 hours in the amount of 7-10% of the patient's body weight with subsequent switching to dropwise administration with the rate of 40 drops a minute for 24-48 hours. In mild forms of a disease (intoxication and dehydration of the body, metabolic acidosis, oliguria), it is possible to confine to dropwise drug administration. The drug is used under the control of hematocrit and electrolyte blood concentration. The balance of injected and lost liquid is determined each 6 hours.
Contraindications
Hypernatremia, a state of overhydratation, a threat of pulmonary edema, brain edema, treatment with great doses of corticosteroids, hypersensibility to formulation constituents.
Side effects
In some cases cold fits may occur. Administration of large amounts of the solution can result in chloride acidosis, overhydratation, hypopotassemia.
Special warnings
Caution should be taken when using large amounts of the drug in patients with disturbance of excretory renal function, in hypopotassemia. The drug is stored out of the reach to children and should not be used after the expiry date.
